Coaching Rugby at Miami University
The Miami University Men’s Rugby Club is seeking additional coaching assistance to strengthen the club and support its expanding membership. Miami’s Men’s Rugby Club has been in existence for 39 years. It currently has 40 players and one volunteer coach. The club’s seasons run from late August to early November in the fall, and late March to early May in the spring. Practices are held Tuesday and Thursday from 4-6 pm on Ditmer Field. Games are usually on Saturday afternoons, both in Oxford and other locations. Primary coaching responsibilities include: organizing practices, determining team lineups, building on an established team pattern of play, and enhancing player skill levels. A stipend to compensate for time and expenses is provided by the Miami University Men’s Rugby Alumni Association, Inc. (MUMRFCAA). If you have experience playing and/or coaching rugby, and are interested in serving as a coach, or in any other capacity with Miami’s Men’s Rugby Club, please contact:
